All,
Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring a Women Build - where only women will build an entire Habitat house here in Summerville. We would like to get many volunteers from St. Paul's to join us in this effort. Please prayerfully consider helping. Below is some basic information. I do not have specific dates yet... but will pass the information along when I get it!

WOMEN BUILD
Problem: More than 12 million children – one out of every six - live in poverty in the U.S.
Mission: To nurture, recruit and train women to build simple, decent, affordable homes.
Purpose: To involve more women in the construction of homes and, as they learn construction skills, they help move children out of poverty housing. The purpose of Women Build is not to exclude men but to include and empower women.
Partner Family:
Ms. Godbolt and her two daughters lived in a small, rundown apartment but had to move into her mother’s place because of drugs and loiterers in the apartment parking lot. Their next move will be into their 3-bedroom Habitat house after working alongside Women Build volunteers to complete 425 hours of “sweat equity” on their house and those of others. Like all Habitat homeowners, the Goldbolt family will buy their house through low payments on a no-profit, no interest loan.
